Volunteers Needed!  Become a mentor for the 2012 PSNE Online Reporter project!

The Pennsylvania Society of Newspaper Editors (PSNE) and the PNA Foundation are teaming up once again to offer a unique internship experience at the 2012 Pennsylvania Press Conference: the PSNE Online Reporter Project. Through this program, college students will produce a live website covering the conference. We're looking to you to mentor the students during the project! 2012 PSNE Online Reporter Project

May 31 through June 2, 2012 at the Wyndham Gettysburg

Student interns will cover the Pennsylvania Press Conference and Keystone Press Awards for this comprehensive online operation.  Throughout this weekend conference, students will have the chance to work one-on-one with industry professionals to produce a live website, conduct interviews, report on industry issues, cover convention speeches and the awards programs, and have a chance to network with editors from across the state.

Students who are interested in reporting, shooting video, taking photographs, designing a website and copy editing should apply.  Applications are due at the PNA Foundation, 3899 N. Front Street, Harrisburg, PA  17110, by 5 p.m. on Friday, January 20, 2012.  Notification of acceptance will be sent to students by mid-February.

Completed Application Form should be submitted with a 500-word essay on "Why I want to participate in the 2012 PSNE Online Reporter Project."  Also, include a resume describing your academic and extracurricular activities, including your experience in journalism.  Submit six clips or a portfolio of photos, graphics and screen grabs.
